Works and lives in Ghent, BE

Herlinde Raeman (°1982, Eeklo) focuses her analogue camera on the everyday. She often collaborates with people from her immediate environment, such as friends, family, and her child. Her work explores personal yet simultaneously activist and feminist themes: motherhood in relation to artistry, the importance of engaging with time and archives, and the familial aspects of art. Through the safe and intimate nature of her work, she invites her collaborators into a shared authorship — an intense process of dialogue and mutual openness. Her work often brings visibility to underrepresented contexts and explores relational strategies of creation.

Opus One 2023 selected her collaborative graduation project, the mom/artist notebook, pt. I, for an exhibition at Cultuurcentrum Hasselt (BE) in 2024. In April 2025, this project was selected for the Feminist Art Prize at IKOB in Eupen (BE) and was awarded the second prize. The book dummy of the same project was selected for the VAiF 2025 exhibition in Thessaloniki (GR) later that year.

Photographer Vincen Beeckman mentored a new ongoing project by Lobna Morsi and Herlinde Raeman within Blueprints (Breedbeeld). The first draft of Let us see you again was exhibited at nw in Aalst in June 2025.

Supported by the Flemish Government with a development grant in 2025–2026.
